	Anouk article in "De Pers" (dutch newspaper) From capresious woman to being a housemother Anouk wont let anyone mark her! Not at all her new album Who’s Your Momma. Soul, funk, rock and a bit of blues, its all Anouk! Not long ago gossip queen Perez Hilton posted Anouk’s single Good God on his site. He named her the new Amy Whinehouse. Anouk is flattered to hear so! She wouldn’t have cared if Perez Hilton called her a slet who cant sing, its just amazing because al lot of people view his site. Nobody can get around Anouk these days. She’s been in a lot of famous magazines, newspapers and even supervideo on TMF. Anouk's new album Who’s your momma is in stores now. In the past couple of years people viewed her as a difficult person. Anouk responded to that by saying that she finds it weird because she finds herself pleasant. Anouk’s last album Hotel New York was written in hotel New York in Rotterdam. For Who's Your Momma she got the chance to work with Glen Ballard, a world famous producer who produced albums for Barbara Streisand, Alanis Morrissette, Dave Mathews Band and many more famous artists. Anouk never thought he would want to work with some woman Anouk from Holland. But lucky as she got after sending some demo songs to the famous man he responded in less then a week and invited Anouk over to LA to work with him for her new album. So this summer Anouk and her family went over to LA for 6 weeks to work on her new album. Anouk stayed in Château Mormont. She was glad that the room had a kitchen so that her children wouldn’t have to eat the food from the hotel every single day. She very much enjoyed her stay. In the evening she and Remon (her husband) sat on the patio and watched al the people walk by. They also saw Britney Spears. In other articles you can read about Britney spears blinking to Remon. These 6 memorial weeks lead to her most varieted album til now, Who’s Your Momma. Not only can you tell by the song but also mister Glen Ballard had a big influence! Offcourse Anouk gave the best she could give for this man, and also because she wanted to show that she’s not just a singer from Holland. She wanted to show him and his musicians what she’s got! She wanted 1 thing and she has succeeded in it, and that was to make a timeless album. Without a band When Anouk got back to Holland, she invited her band to come over to listen to the new songs. Unfortunately they were not amused by it and walked away without responding. Later on Anouk heared, behind her back, that the band didn’t like the new album. So Anouk took a next step and stopped further cooperation. She just got a new band together. The musicians are very young (17 till 20, drummer is 32) but anouk is very exited to work with such young motivated talented people. They are rehearsing 3 days a week and Anouk enjoys it very much. She loves to see these guys practicing there hearts out. She likes to give these musicians a change to show their talent. Anouk herself would never have done this at that age. It’s a big thing and in a couple of months they are performing in Gelredome. The American Dream Glen Ballard who produced her album, Jonas Ackurland who produced her video for Good God, and Perez Hilton introducing Anouk on his site you would say that her international career would be ready to come out. Anouk herself is not really busy with that thought all the time. “ If it comes then it comes but if not then to bad. I wil go for it but don’t forget I blew my change with the American sony company many years ago. It was when I was young and I hade some drinks. This time I would not attack someone psychically, but I would use words. But that was then en now is now. Now im ready because I know how I am now, musically… ten years ago I did not. Ive come a long way with doing things my own way, so I will not, not for anyone throw that all away.
